"Wear Sunscreen is the common name of an essay, (actually called "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young") written by Mary Schmich and published in the Chicago Tribune as a column in 1997.
The most popular and well-known form of the essay is the successful music single released in 1999, accredited to Baz Luhrmann."

This video is a combination of the performance recorded on two nights at Homebush Bay, home of the 2000 Olympics. Opening sequence features Four Play, an Australian group. The spheres and dancers/acrobats? are an Italian production. Closing sequence (on the wall of the Hotel Ibis) was not performed on the first night as it was windy. You will see why.
Watching the first night's performance was crucial to knowing where to station myself for better recording on the second night. We had missed many highlights, including the chariot on fire and got those only on the second night. Enjoy!
slide show from photos taken on Sunday, 6 May 2007 in Berry, a charming village about an hour's drive south from us. It has become touristy in the 19 years that i have been here but retains its rustic appeal. streets and shops burst with colour.

It is a Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 and 2.22 pm here in New South Wales, Australia. This is just to note the fact that I have uploaded a video and some photo files to start occupying this multiply.com space. I came upon it upon invitation of my niece Jet who has a fine site here. Likewise, it was Jet who also started me on my Flickr site! I think of her sometimes as the family's pathfinder.
Not so long ago I forged my own paths. Real ones, not virtual ones. At that time I believe the network was already up among the military and some academic enclaves, notably among libraries. But it still had to hit the globe as html was not in use yet, no worldwide web.
Now I am happy to have Jet do the virtual pathfinding. Then I shall establish other paths to stem from the ones she establishes. I shall invite other relatives and friends I know and so we will spread the word that this site seems to encapsulate by its name- multiply.
